Wallasey Coastal Breezer Open Top Bus Returns for Summer

IVECO BUS has secured a new order from OTW, the public transport operator for Wallonia, for 127 CROSSWAY Low Entry buses. It’s the third contract signed between the two in the last two years, following earlier deals in 2023 for 22 DAILY minibuses and 42 hybrid CROSSWAYs.

Christophe Martin, Rolling Stock Manager at OTW, said:
“These buses will operate on suburban routes, where passengers spend more time onboard. Therefore, features that enhance passenger comfort—such as thermal comfort, low noise levels, a high number of seats, attractive aesthetics, and ease of use for all customers—are particularly important.
“Safety, ergonomics, and comfort for drivers and technicians are of utmost importance. Last but not least, energy efficiency was a key factor in this decision.”
Giorgio Zino, Head of Bus Commercial Operations at IVECO BUS Europe, said:
“We are pleased with this new collaboration with OTW and would like to thank them for their trust in our models.
“These CROSSWAY Low Entry vehicles, which will soon join OTW's fleet, perfectly address the current challenges of passenger mobility, offering a safe and comfortable travel experience.”
